| Abstract : |
| The spatial distribution and magnitude of temperature trends would help in obtaining climate change scenarios. The changing pattern of regional temperature deserves urgent and systematic attention over a basin which provides an insight view of historical trends. Necessity of the hour is to concentrate on the studies, how the possible climate change will affect the intensity, temporal and spatial variability in temperature patterns in river basins. Therefore, one large catchment (Satluj) is selected for the present study. The daily data were converted to monthly and then computed to seasonal and annual series. Annual temperature (°C) was calculated as the mean of monthly data set. Mean annual temperature data was computed by simply averaging maximum and minimum temperatures. |
